As a result of many problems related to ATVs of all types being played with at off road desert races the past several years, capped by the fatal head-on cvrash involving Matt Helton in his Toyota race truck with a Rhino carrying 4 drunk, non-helmeted/non-restrained fools going the wrong way on a race course...the BLM is now requiring event promoters to ban such vehicles at their events. The following is posted on the SNORE site: www.snoreracing.net/"NO OHV'S ALLOWED AT S.N.O.R.E. EVENTS THIS ONLY INCLUDES NON STREET LEGAL MOTORCYCLES, QUADS, GOLF CARTS AND GO CARTS. WE HAVE QUOTED THIS RULE IN THE PAST AT ALL EVENTS BUT IT IS GOING TO BE STRICTLY ENFORCED FROM NOW ON DUE TO THE REPEAT OFFENDERS THAT CONTINUE TO VIOLATE THIS POLICY. IF YOU BRING IT TO THE EVENT, YOU WILL BE TOLD TO LEAVE IT SECURED. IF YOU OR ANYONE ASSOCIATED WITH YOUR TEAM IS SEEN RIDING IT AT ANY TIME DURING THE WEEKEND PRIOR TO OR DURING A THE ENTIRE RACE TIME LIMIT, THERE WILL BE A PENALTY ENFORCED UP TO THE POINT OF DISQUALIFICATION FOR THAT EVENT. THIS IS A RULE THAT WE ARE ASKED TO ENFORCE BY THE BLM FOR SAFETY REASONS. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THIS AND RESPECT IT" I DON'T like restrictions/regulations/laws/government...don't like anyone saying what I can or cannot do...but somtetimes it becomes necessary. In this case, the vehicles can be a huge amount of FUN! But there are too d**ned many fools out there who have no clue how to act. It would be better if the vehicles were allowed, and the fools banned!

I agree with you on that. Its the fools that ruin it for everybody. Then the people that do follow the rules and dont act up suffer from someones stupidity.
