Hello from Ohio. I'm a long time, if not particularly talented, modeller, and I was pointed to this forum and after looking at some of the amazing work, decided to join, so that I could perhaps take my skills up a notch or two.
I have numerous hobbies, but scale models is without a doubt my oldest. I still recall being able to pick up a model at the pharmacy as a kid when taken there after a doctor's appointment. Almost made being sick or getting a shot worth it.
At any rate, I will likely lurk or add questions more than anything, simply because I am not up to the skill level of what I have seen thus far. I will add where I can, though.
I look forward to being a member here.

Welcome aboard!
And I too (showing my age) I got all my kits at Piggly Wiggly. One week a viking ship, the next a Jag E-type... whatever was left on their shelf and was plastic. Post pix asap and feel free to ask any question no matter how "dumb". John

Hey Doc...welcome. Let me re-iterate what the other two guys said. This is a great site with great people/builders. And don't hold back on posting builds because you think you're "not good enough". We'll tell ya if ya are or not...LOL. Welcome aboard.

Thanks everyone. I Build pretty much box stock, for now. I have looked at trying to figure out working suspensions and that sort of thing so I could pose for dioramas, but haven't gotten that far. I have enough unbuilt models to keep me busy for the foreseeable future and my wife annoyed if I bring too many more in. I have a hard time locating 4x4s, and only have a couple to be built, namely a Scout and a Jeep. I have been told look to e-bay, but haven't gone that route just yet.
Again, thanks for the welcome.

My current 4x4 is a 2008 Toyota Tundra CrewMax, stock at the moment, but with a few plans for mods. I have had a variety of 4x4s over the years, including a Jeep CJ-5, 77 Cherokee, 91 Grand Wagoneer and '82 Toyota Hi Lux. I've also had a good group of friends that has enjoyed four wheeling. I love the looks of your Bug. One of my best friends from high school had a Baja Bug. It would pretty much go anywhere he wanted, and to this day, if the opportunity presented itself I would have one. Nice job on it! Looks like you put in a lot of hard work.
