I remember seeing this in a magazine a couple years ago. Pretty neat idea to take a Sprint car chassis and turn it into a comp buggy. I have had thoughts of doing a similiar project, or even using one of the dirt track modified (Tobias style) chassis kits as a buggy. www.samsoffroad.com/BuggyHome.htmPersonally I think such a buggy would be pretty sweet with Yota axles and either a slant 4 like many midgets run, a v6, or possibly a tuner FWD engine turned side ways with no transfercase.

Mike, did you see the single-seat buggy they built on Xtreme 4x4? Kinda like what you're talking about, had an Acura engine in it. www.powerblocktv.com/site3/

A bunch of the single seat competition buggies use the lightweight 'import' 4cylinder motors. The Xtreme 4x4 show provided great information on how to use the stock Honda transaxle to power both axles. I bought a couple of the Revell Civic models just for the motors.
I met Sam when I used to live in OK, bought most of my 4x4 parts from his store too. He held spring and fall events down in Clayton, OK. Seeing his beloved HeePee CJ7 was neat to0, as was the rest of the rigs from his buisness partners.

Jeff Xtreme was what got me thinking about doing a Yota axle, Honda/Acura engined buggy. Definately some cool ideas in that project.
