hey, I havent had a whole lot of time, so not much has got done.. but heres a shot of the rear end work... Im running into some space issues, but i want to stick with the stock running gear. more like an off the shelf lift instead of an all out crawler. mopar1 the body is just about ready for paint, then I can throw the flares on. PS, bigjeepzz.... where did you get the tires on that samuri build of yours, what size are they, and are there more available? Im starting a replica ramcharger sort of, and the tires I got for my real one are 38X15.5 Baja Claws.. peace, mopar1

Sweet. Jakes baja claws are about 36" or so. Maybe up to 37"?? He make some killer Walker Evans wheels that look good in them too. The tires originally come in the Tomb Raider YJ jeep die cast. Doug

Hey man nice to see you here. You are still in Iraq aren't you?
I casted the Baja Claws on the Sammy I built. I have plans fof the Baja Claw tires but I am not set up right to cast and sell them. I am getting a few more requests from other places too so let me see what I can come up with.

Hey Mopar1,
Great looking YJ. Nice looking bumpers and the fender flares fit perfect. You nailed the bolt-on parts 4wheeler look! I love seeing the Tamiya Jeep being built by people as it is a great kit.

I agree.. the first tamiya kit i built was the grand cherokee...I just wish they did more kits... not that much of a rice burner guy and thats about all they do.. kits are great though..lots of detail and everything fits so you can focus on the mods you want instead of speanding so much time modding stock parts to fit each other thanks for all the comments by the way mopar1 Ps, the fender flares and the winch were made by big jeepzz..i just put them on

Hey Mopar, Great job ! The chassis is fuctional and I really like the stance. Not easy stuff to combine. Great planning and forethought ! 10/10 in my book !
